Wrapped around a split gun stock, it will draw the glue line so thin it looks like part of the grain, with no "clamp marks" in the wood and no slipping or pulling-off of the joint. For holding all irregular surfaces it is unsurpassed - gluing, forming, jigging, aligning - use the Pulling Power of surgical tubing. (It also makes excellent slingshot rubbers.)Use no knots. Tuck over one end and wrap over it, as shown, when pulling the tube around the part being held. Make the final tuck as shown. A small wedge or wood dowel simplifies making this final tuck. Guaranteed to hold! Choate's Rifle Shop, Palmdale, CA., reports, "I have been using my piece of tubing for 8 years and repaired stocks split end-to-end using ACRAGLAS®.
