050806007871 Made to remove the tiniest possible curl of wood to get that exact fit that separates "Pros" from "duds". Handles are placed at right angles to the cutting edge; you get complete control of the edge and almost no tendency to follow wood grain, gouge or dig in.Made of best quality tempered tool steel, with enough heft to eliminate any "flexing". Shaped for positive fingertip control of blade thru full stroke. Finger clearance under the handle for tight places. Available in 2 styles - 3 blade widths. Sizes small enough for trigger hole; big enough for barrel channel. Flat ones perfect for fitting floor plates, tangs, magazines. Not intended to rough out barrel channel, so don't bear down. Just draw toward you across work. Makes the most beautiful curls and dust; yet won't work-harden wood as do rasps, or leave grit to ruin tool edges as does sandpaper. Without a doubt, the best tool ever designed for the fine, controlled removal of the inletting black and that "whisker" of wood underneath!

HARD FIT CURL SCRAPERS BROWNELLS STRAIGHT 1/4" CURL SCRAPER Safety Instruction Guide

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the HARD FIT CURL SCRAPERS BROWNELLS STRAIGHT 1/4" CURL SCRAPER. This guide provides essential safety information to ensure the safe and effective use of this product. Please read and follow these instructions carefully.

General Safety Guidelines

Ensure the scraper is used only for its intended purpose, which is the fine controlled removal of wood.
Always inspect the scraper for damage before use. Do not use if the blade is chipped or the handle is broken.
Keep the scraper out of reach of children and vulnerable individuals.
Use the scraper in a welllit area to enhance visibility and control.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, to protect against wood splinters and debris.
Be aware of your surroundings and ensure that no one is in the immediate area while using the scraper.

Specific Safety Precautions for Use

Do not apply excessive force when using the scraper; let the tool do the work to avoid injury or damage to the wood.
Avoid using the scraper on hard materials or surfaces that it is not designed for.
Maintain a firm grip on the handle at all times to prevent slipping.
Always cut away from your body and keep your hands clear of the cutting edge.
If you experience any discomfort or fatigue while using the scraper, stop immediately and take a break.

Instructions for Installation and Usage

Installation:
- The scraper comes ready for use; no assembly is required.
- Ensure that the handle is securely attached to the blade before use.
Usage:
- Hold the scraper with one hand on the handle and the other hand guiding it.
- Position the blade at the desired angle against the wood surface.
- Apply light pressure and draw the scraper toward you in a smooth motion.
- For best results, use multiple light passes rather than trying to remove too much material at once.
- After use, clean the scraper with a dry cloth to remove wood dust and debris.

Disposal Instructions

Dispose of the scraper in accordance with local regulations.
If the scraper is damaged beyond repair, wrap it in a protective material to prevent injury and discard it in a safe manner.
