Safety Instruction Guide for 1911 Fiber Optic Rear Sights

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the 1911 Fiber Optic Rear Sights by NOVAK. This guide provides essential safety instructions to ensure the safe and effective use of this product. Please read the entire guide carefully before installation and use.

General Safety Guidelines

Always handle your firearm responsibly and in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Ensure that the firearm is unloaded before installing or adjusting the rear sight.
Familiarize yourself with the specific features of your firearm model to ensure compatibility.
Store the rear sight in a secure place away from children and unauthorized users.
Regularly inspect the sight for any signs of wear or damage. Do not use if damaged.
Report any unsafe products or accidents to the relevant authorities.

Specific Safety Precautions for Use

The rear sight is designed for use with specific models of the Colt 1911, Kimber 1911, and Taurus 1911 pistols. Ensure compatibility before use.
Avoid using the rear sight in extreme conditions (e.g., excessive moisture, extreme temperatures) that may affect its performance.
Use the rear sight only as intended. Any modifications not authorized by the manufacturer may void the warranty and pose safety risks.
Be aware that fiber optic rods may be more susceptible to damage than traditional sights. Handle with care.
If you experience any issues while using the sight, discontinue use immediately and consult a qualified gunsmith.

Instructions for Installation and Usage

Preparation:
- Ensure the firearm is unloaded.
- Gather necessary tools for installation, including a screwdriver and any specific tools recommended by the manufacturer.
Installation:
- Remove the existing rear sight from your firearm according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Align the NOVAK rear sight with the dovetail of your firearm. Ensure that it fits securely without excessive force.
- If required, perform milling on the firearm to ensure a proper fit. Follow the included installation instructions carefully.
- Secure the sight in place using the appropriate screws or fasteners. Ensure that it is tightly fastened to avoid movement during use.
Usage:
- Once installed, familiarize yourself with the sight picture. The green fiber optic insert should provide a bright contrast against dark backgrounds.
- Practice shooting in various lighting conditions to understand how the sight performs in lowlight or highstress situations.
- Regularly check the alignment and condition of the sight before each use.

Disposal Instructions

When the rear sight reaches the end of its life cycle or is no longer usable, dispose of it responsibly.
Check local regulations for proper disposal methods for firearms accessories.
Do not dispose of the sight in regular household waste. Consider recycling options if available.
