Specific Safety Precautions for Use

This kit is designed for use with Smith & Wesson M&P pistols in all centerfire calibers and configurations, except M&P Shield.
The installation of this kit requires the use of the larger 1/8 inch sear spring & plunger setup, which is included.
Ensure that all components are properly installed before using the firearm.
Always verify that the firearm is unloaded before performing any installation or maintenance.
Do not use this kit with M&P 2.0 pistols as it is not compatible.
The forward set trigger reduces trigger pretravel and overtravel; ensure proper training is undertaken to handle this feature safely.

- Ensure the firearm is completely unloaded.
- Gather all necessary tools and components, including the forward set sear, trigger, striker block kit, and spring kit.
Installation Steps:
- Remove the existing trigger and sear assembly from your Smith & Wesson M&P pistol.
- Install the forward set sear into the sear housing block designed for the large size sear plunger and spring.
- Attach the forward set trigger to the sear.
- Install the striker block, ensuring the improved radius on the striker block face is facing the correct direction for optimal performance.
- Use the trigger return spring install tool to place the appropriate trigger return spring (4lb or 5.5lb) into position.
- Ensure that all components are securely fastened and aligned according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Testing:
- After installation, perform a function check to ensure that the trigger operates smoothly and safely.
- Verify that the trigger pull weight is as expected (near 4lbs for competition or 5.5lbs for duty/carry).
- Conduct a dry fire test in a safe environment to ensure proper functionality.
Usage:
- Always follow safe shooting practices.
- Maintain focus and control while handling your firearm.
- Be mindful of the smooth uptake and reset features of the trigger.
