Introduction

Thank you for choosing the MAGNATIP® Bit Shaping Stone from Brownells. This product is designed for customshaping MAGNATIP and Brownells Fixed Blade screwdrivers. This safety instruction guide provides essential information for the safe use, installation, and disposal of the product in compliance with the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR).

General Safety Guidelines

Ensure that the product is used only for its intended purpose as specified in this manual.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety goggles and gloves when using the shaping stone.
Keep the work area clean and welllit to prevent accidents.
Ensure that the drill press is securely fastened and stable before use.
Do not exceed the maximum RPM of 25,000 to avoid potential hazards.
Store the shaping stones in a safe place out of reach of children and pets.
Regularly inspect the shaping stone for wear and damage. Do not use if damaged.

Specific Safety Precautions for Use

Always check that the shaping stone is properly secured in the drill press before starting.
Avoid loose clothing and long hair that could get caught in the drill press.
Do not force the shaping stone against the screwdriver tip; let the tool do the work.

Usage:
- Lock the bit or screwdriver securely into the drill press vise.
- Align the shaping stone with the screwdriver tip to match the screw slot.
- Turn on the drill press and gently guide the stone against the screwdriver tip.
- Regularly check the fit and make adjustments as necessary.
- After achieving the desired shape, turn off the drill press and remove the screwdriver.

- Clean the workspace and remove any grinding dust.
- Inspect the shaping stone for any wear or damage.
- Store the shaping stone in a safe location.
